Chinese New Year is just around the corner....29-01-2006 to be exact.... we celebrate Chinese new Year for 15 days....This is a couple of "fat boy & fat girl"
wishing visitors a happy, prosperous, good lucky new year.

Mandarin oranges is a must during chinese new year.
We get to eat this once a year, hence around this time...
the market and absically everywhere will be flooded with this mandarin oranges. Mandarin Oranges is to chinese wht turkey is to christian during christmas eve. Posted by Picasa
Fishes are good symbol too... in fact if you notice...RED is the auspicious colour for chinese..... all thing red on wedding, all thing red on birthday, on any celebration.. Most of the decorations are in red colour, and all chinese are encouraged to wear red during chinese new year.... and black is a NO-NO Posted by Picasa

Chinese are more practical when come to giving gifts...
we dont have headache choosing gifts and stuff...

Normally married couple are suppose to give
this red packet (with money of course)
to unmarried & single people...
like kids, spinster and stuff.
The amount is varied, and there are no rules on how much you should give.
