The Royal Palace, Phnom Penh

The Royal Palace of Cambodia in Phnom Penh is like a walled city within a city... as many other palaces would be.

Sitting on the prime riverbank , the palace has one of the best view of Phnom Penh.

Within the palace, there is this much revered, popular, respected pagoda with its floor covered by pure silver, hence the namesake Silver Pagoda, the home of the Jade Buddha....

Within the compound of the palace, it is like a different world....comparing to the city....here for a moment, you felt that you werent in phnom penh..

Here are some of the interesting piccys...in fact these are the only one i have, due to the fact that i had a FLAT BATTERY while i am visiting this gorgeous place.....

Cambodia, a truly eye-opener....

The throne hall...

Silver Pagoda, the shrine/pagoda/temple for the jade buddha statue of Cambodia. This pagoda has its floor all covered with pure silver, hence the name.

patrick-> not really good weather... it normally sunny during the morning... but it will normally rains during the evening...

to me...you dont really see "cambodia" if you visit siem reap, as siem reap is really very touristy and very "developed".
