Haze in Malaysia

While you are looking at this picture...
we in malaysia are in bad condition.... the air quality is very bad.
This is all due to the Forest Fire in Indonesia and the wind blows all the smoke towards Malaysia and we are all blanketed with the haze, smoke....
the first picture (before) was taken on 16-05-2004
while the second picture (after) was taken on 09-08-2005....yesterday
For one moment i thought i was somewhere in Swiss Alps villages for all the "clouds"....and "whole-day dew"
yesterday is bad...but today it is WORSE...news reported that this could last until October for the wind directions aint gonna change for quite sometime.

Whoa, thats crazy how the smoke carries like that. In my city in Canada, we live in a place called Chemical Valley. It sucks cause it always hazy here.
dan-> yes it is... from indonesia...the wind carry the smoke to malaysia... and we are suffering for things we never did
CHEMICAL VALLEY? the name itself sounds bad
haze is always a problem around large cities - this will dissipate if it is smoke left over.

all this while it was caused by those forest fire in indonesia...and the indonesian goverment isnt doing anything abt that....**yawn**
so the indonesian burnt their forest..and we the innocence one getting it...

the BEFORRE was taken in 2004, while the AFTER was taken this week...
took it from my client office....
so, take the bottom picture, add a brown and dingy tone to it, leave it there for years and years -- because it's not due to smoke, but trapped smog and pollution -- and "presto" you have L.A. I grew up in the smoggy L.A. area, and I only recognized how gross the air was once I moved away. Glad the air in Malaysia is only due to fires and not the regular daily life.
k-> serious about LA air? gosh...tht is bad.....
yah thank god this is temporary...
hopefully it wont be permenant...i dont want to live in places like this
