South East Asia has long been the play ground for westerner........ looking for exotic sun-drenched tropical paradise......
hence this disaster not only affected the local but international communities as well....
especially in Phuket, Indonesia, Penang and Langkawi.
At this peak of holiday season, those places are packed with western tourists......
British, American, French, Germans, Swedes, Poles, Danes, Austrian, Dutch, Norwegian, Singaporean, Belgian, New Zealander, Finnish, and many others
have injured, dead, missing.
Hence this is no longer a regional issue....this has indeed affected the entire world's population.... is a disaster for mankind.....

My deepest and most sincere condolences and sympathy to the victim, family and friends of the disastrous earthquake and Tsunami that swept across South East Asia on 26 December 2004 .......a day after christmas.....
The 8.9 magnitude earthquake that struck off the Indonesian island of Sumatra early on Sunday was one of the biggest in history. It triggered waves that reared up into walls of water as high as 10 meters (30 feet) as they hit coastlines in Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India and Thailand.
My heart was so saddened by this tragedy and I send my prayers to all that was left behind in this tragedy......i couldnt express my feelings that swell inside me when i came across this incident........
For my compatriot particularly from Penang, Kedah, Perak and Langkawi........i felt the pain as much as you did
For brothers/sisters from Thailand and Indonesia....be strong
For my neighbours from Sri Lanka and India (hardest hit country along with Indonesia)......My thoughts and my prayers are with you and your families
Total casualties = 11,300 killed
